You have two options in terms of getting a ferry to Lewis & Harris. The most popular route is Ullapool to Stornoway. In the high-season there are three scheduled sailings per day and usually two sailings in the low-season. The journey time is approximately 2hours 45minutes. Your other option is to come via Tarbert in Harris. The ferry sails from Uig on the Isle of Skye to Tarbert. 20A Kirkibost is approximately 40 minutes away from Stornoway and 60 minutes away from Tarbert. We request a 20% deposit at the time of booking, and the remaining balance 28 days prior to arrival. We will notify you in advance that the payment is becoming due. The deposit is refundable if you cancel within the cancellation period and in alignment with the policy.
Check-in is available from 3pm on the day of arrival (normally a Sunday) and check-out is 10am on day of departure (again, normally a Sunday)
We are a 35 minute drive away from the main town Stornoway. We highly recommend that you make plans to stock up in Stornoway before coming over to Bernera.
We are pleased to advise we offer super fast fibre broadband direct to the premises. You will be able to stream your favourite NetFlix box set or watch the big sporting event on any device with no buffering.
We allow up to two dogs per stay. Unfortunately, we do not allow cats or any other pets in the house. Each dog has a supplementary charge of £30 per week.
Yes, we have a good range of board games and card games in the house – including table curling which is a must try.
We have a good selection of fiction, non-fiction and cookery books in the house. You are welcome to do a book swap with the paperback fictional novels.
